It all started with planting my little lettuce garden during the pandemic. I was weeding my long neglected backyard, and took a new look at an old, unused garden shed in the corner of my backyard. I saw the shed as an exciting opportunity to create this into an magical artist studio!!! I loved to paint, but just never had the time over the years. I had an old hutch that I painted yellow and an old chair that I painted coral, and I made a sign out of a piece of wood in the backyard. Great things happen when you start with a garden!
My art is inspired by the artist Carrie Schmitt, who I then took online classes from during the pandemic. Her books and art touched me during a challenging time, and inspired me to find my inner artist.
